Artist's Description
This was our 4th trip to Yellowstone, my favorite National Park. It was New Years and a very cold day, -5F, but the bison were plentiful. We entered the NW entrance at Gardiner, Mt and started following the road through the Lamar Valley to Cook City, the NE entrance. This road is open year round.
About Michael DeGrenier
Freelance photographer with a heavy focus on Landscape and Wildlife photography based in East Wenatchee, Washington. Originally from the Boston area, I left for Washington State in 1980 to pursue mountaineering and backcountry hiking. I quickly found myself overlooking stunning vistas and natural beauty I found difficult to describe to family and friends. In 1981, my parents bought me my first 35mm film camera, a Canon AE-1, which I still own. My passion for photography only grew exponentially from there. My pragmatic nature and career as an engineer didn't easily translate to fine art.
