This ten story waterfall pours over remnants of an ancient volcanic super-eruption near Ashton, Idaho. The waterfall is on Henry's Fork of the Snake River still unaffected by manmade influences. The Snake River leaves Jackson Lake in Wyoming east of the Grand Tetons crossing Idaho until reaching the Columbia River in southeast Washington State.
Freelance photographer with a heavy focus on Landscape and Wildlife photography based in East Wenatchee, Washington. Originally from the Boston area, I left for Washington State in 1980 to pursue mountaineering and backcountry hiking. I quickly found myself overlooking stunning vistas and natural beauty I found difficult to describe to family and friends. In 1981, my parents bought me my first 35mm film camera, a Canon AE-1, which I still own. My passion for photography only grew exponentially from there. My pragmatic nature and career as an engineer didn't easily translate to fine art.
