The Waag, built in the 15th century was originally a city gate and part of the walls of Amsterdam. Over the years it had many uses including a guildhall, museum, fire station and anatomical theatre. Today it's Amsterdam's oldest non-religious building. It is depicted in Rembrandt's 1632 painting "The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulip"
Freelance photographer with a heavy focus on Landscape and Wildlife photography based in East Wenatchee, Washington. Originally from the Boston area, I left for Washington State in 1980 to pursue mountaineering and backcountry hiking. I quickly found myself overlooking stunning vistas and natural beauty I found difficult to describe to family and friends. In 1981, my parents bought me my first 35mm film camera, a Canon AE-1, which I still own. My passion for photography only grew exponentially from there.
